Description
The Mod-G Dining Chair is a study in considered comfort and honest materials. Designed and handcrafted by Form & Grain, it brings a relaxed, lounge-like seating experience into the dining space without sacrificing structure or longevity.
The steel frame is finished in Rust-Rite GripSeal, a high-performance protective coating that inhibits corrosion while delivering a durable, matte-textured finish. Chosen for both its resilience and understated aesthetic, GripSeal enhances the chair’s clean, architectural lines while standing up to the demands of everyday use.
Each chair is fully upholstered in Hertex Balkan fabric from the Montenegro collection — a high-performance, poly-woven upholstery with a refined stonewashed texture. With over 100,000 Martindale rubs, Balkan is engineered for durability, making it ideal for dining environments where comfort and longevity matter equally. Approximately 1 metre of fabric is carefully tailored to each chair for a clean, balanced finish.
The seat is constructed using integrated 30 × 3 mm steel slats as standard, providing firm, reliable support. For those seeking additional softness and resilience, an optional sprung seat upgrade is available, incorporating a webbed timber sub-frame.
High-density SF30 foam with a Dacron wrap forms the seat cushion, while the back cushion features a soft-fill Comfrail inner, suspended with stitched hanging tabs to create a relaxed, inviting profile.
This is not a chair designed for quick meals.
It’s made for long dinners, slow conversations, and spaces where comfort is intentional — a quiet luxury that reveals itself in how long you choose to stay seated.
